SET Privacy Policy

Effective August 23, 2026

SET is a workout planning, logging, and timing app. You can use its core features without creating an account. SET does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

SET stores an optional first name, workout plans, exercise selections, set targets, notes, preferences, completed workout history, active workout state, notification preferences, and pending Strava upload state locally on your device. If you connect Strava, OAuth credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.

Photos

When you choose workout-plan photos, SET uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to recognize text and turn it into an editable plan. Selected images and recognized text are not uploaded by SET and are not retained after import. A workout plan you save remains on your device.

Network requests

SET checks a developer-controlled service for required app updates. This request contains no workout, profile, or photo data. Hosting providers may receive standard connection information such as an IP address and user agent.

Optional Strava connection

Connecting Strava is optional. SET uses Strava's authorization page and requests permission to upload activities. Authorization codes and token refresh or revocation requests pass through a Cloudflare Worker operated for SET. The Worker relays these requests to Strava and does not intentionally retain their contents.

When you finish or manually sync a workout, SET can upload the workout name, exercise types, repetitions, weight, set and workout timing, and duration to your own Strava account. SET receives OAuth credentials during authorization and does not retain Strava profile information. Connection information is used only for sync and is not used for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

Strava may monitor and collect usage data related to SET's access to the Strava API as described in the Strava API Policy. Strava handles data under its Privacy Policy. Cloudflare provides relay infrastructure under its Privacy Policy.

Retention, withdrawal, and deletion

Local workout data remains on your device until you remove it in SET or delete the app. You can clear plans, workout history, or both in Settings.

Disconnecting Strava in SET or revoking SET in your Strava account invalidates the authorization. SET deletes locally stored Strava credentials and temporary identifiers returned by Strava when the app next observes the revocation. Temporary upload identifiers are otherwise removed after processing and are never retained for more than seven days. Workouts already uploaded remain in Strava until you delete them there.

To request deletion or written confirmation that deletion is complete, use the support contact at amb.horse. For Strava-controlled data, use Strava's account and privacy controls.

Your choices

You may use SET without entering a first name, importing photos, enabling notifications, or connecting Strava. You can disable notifications or disconnect Strava at any time.

Changes

If SET's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed version is released.
